MacArchives

MacArchives is a large file server containing a variety of Macintosh software
This software is available to any Mac on the Stanford Net.

This includes

• Operating Systems and upgrades
• Demonstration Programs
• Shareware & Freeware
• Stanford Licensed Software
• Networking Software
• Molecular Biology Software
• Lots of Help files
• Protein & Nucleic Acid Facility (PAN) files

If you don't find what you want in MacArchives, check out the following sites.

Also, Biochemistry, DevBio and HHMI have their own server of licensed software. Contact your Lab Manager for more information.

To access the MacArchive, follow the steps below

1. Go to the Chooser under the Apple Menu

Make sure you have AppleTalk turned on

2. Select AppleShare, Med-CMGM zone and CMGM-Users or CMGM Guest

3. Login as Guest

4. Choose the MacArchive volume
