Alan serves as the organizer and staff contact person for CHAC. He works in the Beckman Center at Stanford University Medical Center, as a computer support specialist for the Center for Molecular and Genetic Medicine.

Alan has been participating in Scottish Athletics since 2007, starting out shortly before his 50th birthday! He has been a nationally ranked, Top-20 in North America Master in the 50-59 class in 2008, 2009, 2010  and 2011.

Alan was pleased to notch a finish on the podium at the Pleasanton Highland Games in 2011, finishing third overall, and also third in the weight-over-bar championship.  He'll be travelling to North Carolina in May 2012 for the Masters World Championships.
