Starting December 3, 2007, the computational needs of the project have all been moved to the OpenMacGrid cluster. By contributing your agent to this cluster, you will help the Xgrid@Stanford project, as well as many other scientific projects. The OpenMacGrid cluster is administered by the MacResearch non-profit organization. They accept applications from scientists interested in using the cluster for their research. By making this cluster available to scientists in many different fields, MacResearch will help them go into new directions, without being restricted by the computational power available to them.
Please join the OpenMacGrid cluster!
After enrolling, you may send an email to charles•parnot@gmail•com indicating the name of the machine. This may allow us contact you if the system is updated, or the settings are modified, or other issues. It is also nice to hear from you, so please tell us how you heard about the project, and where you are from. Thanks!
...and read the FAQs for more details!
Just in case: if you are looking for the instructions to fix the preference pane error that sometimes comes up in the TP2 version of Xgrid, follow this link (but you should not be using TP2 anymore!).
