"Stripping and re-using oligo microarrays"
Hi,

Is it possible to strip and re-use an oligo microarray? I am talking of a spotted one, rather than the ones available on the market. If possible, where can I find some information (methods, prefered materials, etc) on it?

Many thanks for any information,

LEV

I, too, am interested in the re-use of microarrays. Ambion (www.ambion.com) is marketing a product called Strip-EZ which incorporates a modified nucleotide that allows the probe to be removed under gentle conditions. This apparently does not work with glass microarrays. I am not sure why. If you find out any more information on stripping and re-use, I would like to know and save a few bucks.
