| Breast cancer genomics using 48,000 cDNA microarrays (with D avid Botstein/Pat Brown/Matt van de Rijn). My lab is analyzi ng 200 breast cancer samples in collaboration with breast ca ncer biologists, statisticians and pathologists at Baylor Un iversity. We also have been testing RNA amplification and si gnal intensification techniques so that tiny amounts of tumo r tissue may be analyzed in anticipation of future work on D CIS and precancerous changes. Co-developer of NASA Smart Probe for breast cancer that analyzes in vivo tumor signatur es using a multisensor probe and neural network algorithms ( with Robert Mah, PhD, at NASA). We are measuring in vivo phy siologic parameters such as pO2, pH, optical reflectance (fu ll spectrum), blood flow, temperature, tissue stiffness, and electric potential changes.
